Before we go through the education resources, I would like to disclose that most of the links on this page are affiliate links. So I’ll get paid if you make a purchase. But there’s no extra cost to you.
I suggest these providers are not due to their affiliate commission, but I genuinely believe they are great resources and could be helpful to my readers.
So I get this off my chest now, let’s check out these providers.
Real Estate Online Courses- Learning at Your Own Pace Conveniently
To obtain a real estate license, you must complete the courses required by the regulatory commission in your state. But why waste time in traveling to a traditional classroom and repeatedly listen to questions which you already know? I always prefer to take online classes so that you could take them whenever and wherever that is conveniently for you.
The Colibri would be a great choice. Their online courses are written by industry experts, and they received many amazing positive feedback from their students. The Colibri offer licensing courses, post-licensing courses, exam prep, and continuing education classes.
When choosing a real estate school, I prefer one where you could take the courses online. This way, you could study at your own pace whenever and wherever. The Colibri Real Estate is a trustworthy real estate education provider. You may click here to see whether they offer pre-licensing course in your state. (**)
Exam Prep – An Interactive Way to Prepare Your Real Estate Exam
Doing practice questions is one of the key elements in helping you in passing the real estate exam. Rather than sitting in front of your desk for hours and studying from boring textbooks, Prep Agent is a much more interactive and effective way.
We like their premium package as it consists of audio lessons, online interactive flashcards, live online webinars, exam prep ebook, and many more. This package allows you to access the materials for the entire year.
Here’s a 4 minute video from a student that used Prep Agent in passing the real estate exam.
Here’s a link to the PrepAgent website. In there, you’ll find the details of the different exam packages. (ie.: What exam prep materials are covered, and their price.) I like their Premium Package because it includes live online webinars. Also, it gives you one-year access to their materials.
Professional Designation – Become a Specialist
If you don’t want to be seen as “just another agent” who is handling a transaction, then you’ll need specialized knowledge to differentiate yourself from your competitors. The National Association of Realtors is one of the most widely recognized real estate trade association around the globe. You could pursue their Designation credentials through completing the required courses and becoming their member.
This does not only enhance your overall professional resume, but it also equips you with the expertise to better work with your clients.
I believe being “Green” is the way to go. After all, many people are looking for ideas to conserve energy and reduce pollution. If this interest you, you may want to check out the NAR’s Green Designation. You can click here for more details about each real estate designation program.
Realtors Safety Programs – Don’t Be the Next Victim!
The most valuable asset is not the property, but it is your personal safety. Being a real estate agent is indeed a fantastic career, but there are many occasions where you could be alone with a client in a house. Also, anyone with your business info could contact you in setting an appointment.
It’s difficult to foresee all the different scenarios in which you could be at risk. The National Association of REALTORS has a vast collection of online webinars in its Safety Progam. The best thing is that most of the courses are FREE.
I visited their website, and one of them does charge a fee. But it is incredibly affordable, and it also provides CE credit.
“Among those who participated in a REALTOR® safety course, 79% feel more prepared for unknown situations after taking the course (up from to 73% in 2018)”
Quote from National Association of REALTORS 2018 Member Safety Report.
