Nevada Real Estate Agent Career

Are you thinking to become a real estate agent in Nevada? If so, this is the perfect career series for you.

A real estate agent is a professional who handles the buying and selling of properties. Their job is to help people find their dream home or sell their current property for the best price possible. They’ll analyze the market listings, arrange property tours or showings, negotiate on clients’ behalf with sellers and buyers alike, help clients understand contracts and closing costs.

A good real estate salesperson will make sure everything goes smoothly from start to finish. They tend to work closely with other real estate professionals such as mortgage brokers, appraisers, and home inspectors.

Real estate can be a good career in Nevada if you enjoy running a self-employed business, interacting with different people, and have flexible work hours.

According to the RedFin, as of June 2021, there were 5,971 homes sold, and the median sales price was $380,000. As I’m reviewing the data now, it seems that the demand far exceeded the housing supply. In fact, 56.1% of homes were sold above the list price.

This transaction volume shows a considerable demand for real estate agents. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (May 2020), there were 2,310 real estate sales agents in Nevada, which worked out to be 1.848 sales agent per 1,000 jobs.
